The Quests, '60s Garage Punk pioneers and originators the genre, "Redux Rock," who recorded Scream Loud, Shadows In The Night, and I'm Tempted on the Fenton Records label, are a '60s, Indie, Retro, Grand Rapids Michigan garage band, that plays new "Classic-style"  Rock and Roll, with great melodies and upbeat lyrics.  The Quests have gone "Back To The Garage" and are recording once again.Scream Loud is a free music download! Hi. My name is Bob Fritzen. From 1964 until 1968 I was the lead singer for one of West Michigan's most popular rock groups, The Quests. During those years, a musically-diverse time which gave birth to the "garage band" genre, we were fortunate to record several hit songs on the now cult-famous, Fenton Records label. We are proud that, although unknowingly at the time, we were pioneers within this unique musical era. 

It has been gratifying to recently find that among the  fans of that great genre of music there are many who enjoy our songs in particular.  This renewed interest in our music has prompted us to remaster previously unreleased recordings, and to dust off our guitars.

For your enjoyment, this website features both the old and the new Quests: a sampling of our humble, garage beginnings as well as our newest, Redux compositions. Our MUSIC STORE contains a free download of our first hit,  "Scream Loud," our gift to you for spending time with us.  We are also here to link you to other sources for new, "classic-style" rock, and if you share our belief that great music is ageless, we invite you to check out our REDUX FORUM where you can participate in bringing great rock back to the airways.  We hope you visit us frequently or join our mailing list to keep abreast of develpments in this area.
